Kathy & Quincy

Dr. Mona is an energetic, thoughtful instructor, and puts both me and my dog at ease, even as a beginner.

Kate & Ranger

Working with Dr. Mona was always so much fun for both Ranger and me, and we learned a variety of things from her. From building Ranger’s mental focus and physical agility, to me learning the proper body language and signals to better communicate what I want from him,  Dr. Mona has turned us into a very connected team. Without her guidance so early on, we wouldn’t be working toward Ranger’s Rally Advanced title at age three.

TWENTY years of training with Dr. Gitter have taught me the true value and success of training only with positive reinforcement. For the last 10 or 15 years I have trained and competed in Obedience, Agility, Nose Work and Tracking.

Fortunately my Portuguese Water Dogs all started out with Mona’s Puppy class and moved on to Attention classes before venturing on to Obedience, Agility, and Nosework.

As I began to value the difference of positive training my competitive dogs began to exhibit confidence and an eagerness to play games and train the skills needed. For every hurdle Mona would find a solution, they simply loved coming to her class.

I will always be grateful for her wisdom in teaching me positive training skill. I miss her terribly, and so does Gully.
